As I scroll through Twitter, I have noticed a trend and have thought to myself,

“Why Are Artists More Hostile to AI Making Art Than Programmers Are to AI Writing Code?”

Here is why I believe Artists are more hostile to AI:

Authenticity and Control: Artistic expression is often seen as a way for artists to convey their unique viewpoints and perspectives. The use of AI to generate art takes away from the human factor, making the art less authentic.

Value and Economy: In the art world, the originality and uniqueness of art are highly valued. Artists devote years to perfecting their craft and developing their own personal style, and the idea of AI being able to create similar art could be seen as a threat to these values, as well as to the livelihood of artists themselves, as it could potentially lead to the loss of jobs for Artists.

Here is why I believe Programmers are not:

Personal Expression: While creating art by human artists is a form of personal expression, such is not true for Programmers. The primary goal of having an AI write code is to create a functional piece of code, rather than to create something…
